Hi, I have been writing poetry since I was young. This led to writing short stories and then by the age of fifteen I had written my first book. This book has only been seen by one member of the family and it was this same family member that said I should have some of my work published…This is where my first published book ‘The Horrid Little Fly’ came in.
This was published just before Christmas 2007. Since then I have written many more, some of which you see on this website. I am slowly getting around to having the rest published but as some of you may know, this takes time. I aim to have at least five more books by the summer 2009. All these stories are short stories written as poems that I think make them easier for children to read and understand.
I have two young children myself which has enabled me to write the stories according to their own ability and understanding. I am also in the progress of writing longer stories for older children and have a couple of adults books underway.
Each book I write I dedicate to a member of my family or friends. ‘The Horrid Little Fly’ was dedicated to my great nan who sadly passed away just before it was published.
I would very much appreciate any comments or advice that you may have with regards to either the website (that I manage myself) or the books themselves.
